Dear Bob:

We received word from Henry Shenk that he will
come to fill the place @acated by our Mr. Bert DeGroot.

man. Nowever, I felt that I should write you — let you
know what progress we ere making.

 

I talked to Vie Hurt about the possibility of your
working in the Athletic Department but it seems as if there
is no definite understanding. I took from him that he suggested
you take it up with Coach Henry. Coach Senry is out of town
on a fishing trip. I'm writing you to see if you hed a eonver-
sation with Coach Henry before he left town and while: you were
in Lawrence.

I believe thet we could work out something favorable
to you in our department if you could make arrangements for

diitional income you spoke about. Won't you write me
know the status of things at present?
