Dear Mr. Fogers:

Yes, indeed, I do remember with great pleasure our
meeting at the Hotel Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebreska when you were
with Jimmy Stewart. I hed in mind mentioning this fact when I
wrote you, but I was just a little afraid that you might think
I was endeavoring to lean upon acquaintances and I desisted.

We have a young Freshman Coach, Gordon Gray, who is
handling our freshman basketball and who has written your eth=
letic director regarding his qualifications. Mr. Gray coached
four years at Harlingen, Texas and made a fine records He is
taking work on his Masters Degree but I understand that Uncle
Sam has him pretty definitely on the list end I am afraid he.
will not be able to accept 2 job because his number will be
coming up scone Gordon Grey is one of the best of the young
cosches thet it hes been my pleasure to recommende

dohn Bunn of Stanford, Dutch Lonborg of Northwestern,
Adolph Pupp of Kentucky, end Frosty Cox of Colorado are some of
my boys out in the coaching fielde [I think Gray is just es
good as any of thome |
