. Thank you for your letter of March 3, written in behalf
of Ollie Thomas, Coach of the Winfield, Kansas High School.

Our Gommittee has a number of applications and a few
very outstanding names for our basket ball position, and I do not
know whether we will concentrate on a Texas man or go outside of
the State. If we go beyond our own borders, 1 am sure that Mr.
Thomas will be given consideration on account of your letter in his
behalf.

You probably do not remember me, but I had the pleasure
of meeting you last spring when I was up at Lincoln, Nebraska, and
talked to the Big Six about the Cotton Bowl game. I met you in the
lobby of the hotel with Jimmy Stewart.
