Dear Phog:-

I see by the papers you are playing some

basketball in the East. I'm planning on seeing your
game here and in New York, if you are playing there.
Phog, I wonder if you have made your hotel plans as
yet. I've wanted you to meet Bill Stetson, who coaches
the Swarthmore College team. Grand boy. Both Bill and
mx I are hoping you will consider taking your team to
Strath Haven Inn in Swarthmore while you are in Philly.
Penn's football team always stays there before their
big games. It is only about seven miles from Convention
Hall where you play. Bill says you are most welcome to
Swarthmore’s field house and all their eauipment. "“Any-
thing we've got, he can have,” says Bill. Maybe your
timetable won’t sllow it, but I think it would be swell
if you are laying over for a day or two. The field house
is a marvel -- it's got everything by a goal-hi. Drop me
a note, Phogger, about your dates and the like, and if I
can help in any way just holler.

I suppose you know The Post has an article
about you for December publication. I haven't read it.

Remember, Swarthmore is quieter than the
