Dear Dr. Allen:

In’ your absence on your trip Eas¢, Miss Gerstenberger sent
me, in accordance with your instructions, a basketball
which was forthwith turned over to Bill.

He has practically torn the house apart and most of my New
Years Day was spent in our basement throwing the ball through
an old tire which was the only basket available. I wish

to thank you very very much for your kind consideration and
courtesy. I am sure that the utmost pleasure will be the
direct result of your kindness.

I am planning to see the Wichita University Basketball game
tomorrow night and if I see anything I believe would be of
interest to you, will pass the information on. If there is
anything in particular you want to know about this team,
please drop me a note of inquiry. |
