Dear Dr. Allen:

Your letter of the 4th reached me this morning, and the basis that you
mention for your traveling expense will be entirely satisfactory.

I neglected to ask you earlier for a cut of yourself, together with a
Statement giving a few high lights in order that we might have it for
advance publicity in our Rotary weekly paper as well as the local news-
papers. I would appreciate it very mich if you would send a cut and
this material to Mr. Donald Vandervoort, our assistant secretary,
located st 216 Hotel Lassen, Wichita. This should be in his hands by
not later than April 23rd, as our weekly paper goes to press the
following day. We will make every effort to have your talk broadcast
by KANS.

I find now that I have been "drafted" to go on the Chamber of Commerce
goodwill tour beginning April 28th, and will not be here at the time
of your visit. This I greatly regret as I had looked forward to the
pleasure of introducing you to the Club. I will see, however, that
this is properly taken care of and we will be attempting to get your
taik over the radio if arrangements can be made for broadcasting.

It is certainly going to be a pleasure to have you with us and I be-
Lieve there will be some definite value come out of your visit to
Wichita.
