Dear Doctor Alien:

Confirming our telephone conversation of today, we would like to
invite you to be our program speaker at Wichita Rotary Club on Monday,
April 29th. We would be glad to defray your traveling expenses for
this trip. Our meeting is held at the Lassen Hotel, as you know, and
begins at 12:15 noon. You would have thirty minutes speaking tile on
the program.

The subject we would like to have you discuss would be "Basketball."
I eam sure the audience would be interested in a brief discussion of
the history of the game, its present importance, whet the future out-
come is, and particularly on how you produce championship teams.

I want to take the opportunity of congratulating you on the splendid
showing that your team made in the recent tournament, and being the
runner up in the national championship. Certainly it is an outstand-
ing accomplishment.

Sinee you indicated over the phone thet you could accept our invita-
tion, we will so mark it on our program calendar, and will appreciate
your confirmation at your early convenience.
