Dear "Phog":

I am one of the many countless Kansans who has
followed the fortunes of the Kansas University
Basket Ball team throughout the season with

keen delight at the splendid record they have
achieved. I am writing you on the eve of their
final game of the season where I know they will
again make Kansas proud of their efforts as

they battle for the national basket ball champion-
ship.

I should like to have you and the members of

the team for dinner at the executive mansion

on whatever date you and the team members think
best. I assume that this should be after the
final game. If it is possible for you toc ome

and you will let me know what dates are convenient,
I shall be glad to work it out with you.
