DEPARTMENT OF INSTRUCTION December 6, 1939 Dr. Forrest C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: Thanks for your good letter of December 4. Glad to know you got back all right and that you enjoyed your trip. Certainly we here in Cleveland enjoying having you with us, and I am sure you did our boys here a great deal of good. I haven't had an opportunity to visit with any of the people who attended the McDonald meeting, but I am certain they also en= joyed having you with them, My trip to Ann Arbor was a very satisfactory and satisfying one. Five of the top-flight doctors of the University staff went over me, Three of them voluntarily said they hoped that when they were my age they would be in as good physical condition as they found me to be. Dr. Barker, the cardiologist, really gave me a very thorough going-over. He found my heart to be in A-l shape, told me to go ahead and play handball - no singles, but doubles = not to exceed two or three times a week until I had some definite symptom that the exercise was not agreeing with me, Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future and, if not before, at the time of the meeting in Kansas City, I am as always, with many thanks Sincerely yours Floyd A.
