August 16th, We have filled in your form and enclose
same herewith. 3 :

The first item on which we have bid was the 12 Rawlings
No. AXH Laceless Basketballs, amd you will note we have
bid these at a pricecof $15.85, or a total of $190.20.
This is the latest quotation that we have on these balls,
put as we have none of them in stock at the present time
we mist necessarily reserve the right to increase this
quotation in the event that they should be billed to us
at a higher price. Also are quoting on these subject to
our ability to deliver, although we do feel reasonably
sure that we can obtain these balls in the event that we
are favored with your order. However, we cannot say
exactly how long might be required to make delivery.

On all of the other items on which we have bid we have
the merchandise in stock and immediate shipment could be
made. | 7

On the basketballs, volley balls, and footballs there is
a 10% Federal Excise Tax included in the quotations which
we have made you. If you are in position to sign an

exemption certificate on these three items you could
deduct 1/11 from the prices quoted.

All of these quotations are f£.0.b. Kansas City, Mo. and
are subject to our usual terms of 2% for payment within
10 days from date of invoice or 30 days net.

of August 6th, wish to say that we have filled in our quotations on
all items on which we could bid, and may we say that the items on
which we have bid are in stock at this time, and if your order ‘is
placed promptly for any portion of the items on which we have bid,
immediate shipment can be made.

We reserve the right, however, that if the order is delayed and the
merchandise is not available at the time the orderis placed or the
prices have advanced to first notify you as to present quotations and
availability of such merchandise.

Also, in this connection, we are quoting prices #.0.B. Kansas City and
the carrying charges to Lawrence will be added to the amount of the
invoice.

For your convenience we have enclosed herewith a copy of our catalog
#85 on which we have referred you to the page number on which the
