In responge to your request for quotation on athletic goods under date
of August 6th, wish to say that we have filled in our quotations on
all items on which we could bid, and may we say that the items on
which we have bid are in stock at this time, and if your order ‘is
placed promptly for any portion of the items on which we have bid,
immediate shipment can be made.

We reserve the right, however, that if the order is delayed and the
merchandise is not available at the time the orderis placed or the
prices have advanced to first notify you as to present quotations and
availability of such merchandise.

Also, in this connection, we are quoting prices #.0.B. Kansas City and
the carrying charges to Lawrence will be added to the amount of the
invoice.

For your convenience we have enclosed herewith a copy of our catalog
#85 on which we have referred you to the page number on which the
article’we have bid on is described.

We thank you very much for the opportunity of placing this bid and hope .
to be able to furnish some of this equipment.

May we say that in view of present market conditions, our suggestion

is that wherever you place your order, the quicker that you can place
the order the better because under present market conditions with the
O.P.A. ceiling off of all sporting goods of this kind, the manufact-

urers ere certainly advancing prices very rapidly.
