Miami Beach, Florida July 23, 1943. Drs F. C. Allen Physical Education, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Docs Do not know whether you are still in Lawrence during the vacation period, but thought that I would write to you on the chance that you are still. there. Some time back I wrote to you about the location of some Goal-Hi outfits. You referred me to Fred Medart Company in St. ovis. It seems that we have exhausted their supply and Lt. Althoff, the purchasing officer, told me to see if I could unearth anymore. We can still use 20 6r 30 more, I believe. I took some snapshots of some of the boys playing the game, and I will see that you get some prints of them. Red Dugan said the other day that he had a furlough and was to come to Iawrence. Haven't seen him since his return to find out any of the local news. Still get to see other Kansas boys from time to time. Ralph Miller and Ray Evans were here on the Beach te Physical Instructer School, but I missed reading the roster of the students and didn't know that they were here until the day that they left. Have decided to take a leave in September. In case everything goes right will be in Iawrence at that time. Will appreciate anything that you can do on the Goal-Hi's. Lt. G. T. Stapleton Ass't Director, P. T. Room 909 Cadillac Hotel Miami Beach, Florida.
