How is the great MDee,"? here are rumors
in this locality that you are going to have a better basketball team
that you had in becca. But I dare say that in a few years that
the University of Kansas baseball field will be a veritable haunt
of the big league baseball scouts »roviding you remain the leader of
the nine young men. |

| By the way Doc. when is that book coming out
giving crdédit where credit is due in regards to the man that made you
a coach. It appears to me chat this book is a long bit overdue.
There are a lot of individuals that never kept very close to the
sport page in this locus that are not cognizant of my connections
with the varsity basketball team on the Jayhawk campus. 3

Realizing that this is one of many hundreds
of letters on your desk I shall get to the point. I would like to
ask for appointment some morning next week or perhaps the week
afterwards on either Tuesday or Thursday. I will come with a basket-
ball committee representing the Kansas City, Kansas YMCA and we have ©
an idea we would like to share with you. It would take very little
time to explain and I believe that 15 minutes would be entirely
sufficient. I should ask for @ like the guy that sold you the arch
exerciser. :
