then Bill Weaver, Stuffy Dummire, Lefty Sproul, and the other boys
were, and what a ball team that was Red Brown was also playing
on the teame

When I see you at the Hotel Fiecadilly in New York we
will have a good chate We will arrive in New York on the night of
the 26th, and we expect to work out between halves of. the Illinoise
Manhattan gamée We are stopping at Am Arbor, Buffalo (Niagara),
West Point, and other places enroutes We plan to leave here on the
Santa Fe Streamliner at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 23

I am not trying to alibi, but we lost four of our seven
high=strumg regulars last year, so "while we are @ good ball handling
outfit, I am not sure we will offset the strange conditions of a
