418 E. Fourteenth Wichita, Kansas July 25, 1942 Dr. Forrest C. Allen 801 Louisiana St. Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: On July 7, my husband, Dr. George 0. Shoemaker, of this city, passed away, the cause of death being coronary occlusion, sudden. & o : ‘ I am now confronted with the problem of making some disposition of his office and business. Already there have been a number of inquiries from patients concerning this disposition, and I am eager that some conscientious Osteopath have the benefit of his long years of ptactice and reputation. Doctor Shoemaker was a graduate of Kirksville College, Class of 1901, and had practiced longer in Wichita than any other dsteopath. Wichita is considered one of the leading defense cities in the United States, and a still greater influx of population is expected in the near future. Office space, therefore, is limited. Doctor Shoemaker's office, which is now available, is located in one of Wichita's best downtown locations, and the rent is reasonable. The office is well equipped with McManis Table and fairly new office furniture. | I am keeping the office intact until August 1, and if you know of any Osteopath interested, you may contact me at 418 E. 14th, Apt 2, phone 2-1259, Wichita; or you may contact Mr. I. E. Rumpf Building Manager, Fourth National Bank Building, Wichita, Kansas. Yours very truly, Dx Mawnge ©. rhb aha Mrs. George 0. Shoemaker MGOS:at
