Deer Mr. Siegrist:

I have just returned from Columbia, Missouri and find your second letter which
arrived during my absenc@e Answoring both of your letters of the 18th and 20th,
I beg to state that I thenk you very much for the kind words you hed to say re=
garding our luncheon talke I enjoyed it very much and look forward to meeting
you again in the near futures

In regard to your letter of the 20th stating that the tickets ore not desirable,
let me say thet we are in a very difficult position here et the University of
Konsas in regerd to seating our petrons for basketball gemes. The students

take most of our tickets. After the students snd locel purchasers are satisfied,
we have only from 300 to 500 seats svaileble for goneral sale. MNeturally, the
great fight thet our “plucky” Kenses team hes put up this year draws adhererite’
end many spectators, and we have been swamped with requests. The dey before

the Nebraska game on February 10th, all of the tickets were sold for the Okle-
homa game on Merch 7the

Mre Earl Falkenstien, our Financial Secretary of the Athletic Association,
deily returns many money orders and cheeks that heve been sent in for orders
for tickets tha’ we cannot fill. If anyone needs a field house, I believe

it is Kensese I feel very safe in seying thet we could sell on the average

of 6,000 tickets per game for our contests hore if we had the roome The legis=-
lators are now in session and many of the members come to our games and that
enteils en extra burdens | : 2 a

If there wes any possible way for me to get better seats for you, I sssure you
that I would do soe I have talked with lr. Falkenstien and he states thet it
is positively en impossibility : ahah |
