I am sorry to be so late in answering your inquiry
regarding a home-and-home series in 1940 and 1941.
Because of our obligations for the next two years,
I am rather hesitant to line up the games as sug-
gested at the present time.

I sincerely hope that I can see my way clear to
make some arrangements with you in the near future,
because I feel it would be a fine thing for basket-
ball to have your team play here in Los Angeles.
