Dear Doctor Allen:

I want to thank you for calling Iola in my
behalf. Superintendent Fleming wrote that

you gave me a. nce recommendation, and although

I didn't get the position, I surely do appreca&ate
your effort and interest.

I am sorry that I did not. get to see you in
Kansas City, but.you were awfully busy, and I
didn't want to bother you.

Although I have enjoyed my work here at Lyons,

I would like to make a change this year. We have
had a pretty good record in my four years here- wan
two league titles in football, two in basketball,
ana owe in track. I have also been working on

my Master's degre in physical education at the
University of Lowa, and by the end of next summer
will have all but fave hours completed.
