Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: First,I would like to extend my congratulations to you for the remarkable success that your team enjoyed this year. You should feel as if your task had been well done. [I think that the game of basketball will continue to grov es long as there is the opportunity for science to triumph over brawn as hes been demonstrated by your team this yecr. I regret that it is necessary for me to miss so many of your games. We have « junior boy by the name of Charles Roberts who is heving some trouble with « knee. He will be in Lawrence this week end and I wonder if it will be possible for, you to take some time to examine him. He has « brother there in school and [ know that it will be possible for them to find you at any time end place that you might suggest. We are thinking of having another clinic for this section of the state. Do you happen to be free on the 13th and 14th of December? Do you know as yet who you will be playing during the Christmas holidays? I want to bring the team back this winter and would like to arrange the schedule so as to get to see your team in action. I trust that you are still planning to give the Advanced Besketball course this summer. Will this class be held entirely in the after- noon? Yours sincerely, Fada outa Laurence Stenton
