Dear Dr,Allen:

Ireceived your kind letter of January 25th,
and I regret to inform you that Christmas season is a bad
time to play Basket-Ball here since we have a lot of parties,
But I take this opportunity to make you the following offer,

For the next month of March, I am organizing a
great International Basket-Ball week, having invited already
some other teams from North America, so as to play against
each other a trophy given probably by the President of the
Republic.

The schools that have already accepted ares
Gustavus Adolphus College. St.Peter, MINNBSOTA--State Normal
University. Carbondale, ILLINOIS and State Teachers College
NACOGDOCHES. TEXAS.

It would sure be a privilege for mi to know

that you accep my offer to come that week that would be from |
the 6th. to the 13th. of March and to play 5 games. Offering |
you a guarantee of $1,250.00. Mexican Currency with which I |
am sure you would cover all your expenses while in Mexican
territory and you can play some other games on the way from
Lawrence to Laredo, I suggest your making the trip in auto-
mobiles since that way it would be lot cheaper and the road
as you probably know is paved all the way from the border
