You see I haventt forgotten the salutation your little
grandson had for you.

It was very pleasant to get your letter. It was too
bad to see the old gentleman go but the years were
telling on him. He was and is a grand character and

I don't think myone will ever equal his contributions
to American Football.

Yes, this is a tough business but isn't everything
else? At leas$¥ a coach knows he is in a precarious
occupation and hotfoots it tookeep far enough in front
of the alumni so they will think he is leading them
and that they are not chasing hin.

It was good to get your letter and I appreciate your
thoughtfulness in writing me.
