Prof. "Pfogg" Allen, Department of Physical Education, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kans. Dear Friend Allen: Guess you will recall my connection there with you folks during the Jayhawk Night Rodeo in 1929 of '30, Also you may remember my son, Louis Stryker, who featured in the baton twirling contest in your Stadium a couple of years @20-6 Since meeting you, I have prepared the script, narration and plans for "The Great Western Cavalcade" which is historical of the West, containing pageantry, rodeo and other colorful thrills, including many big, mounted drills and mass action directed by my son, who, in addition to a baton twirler, is a drill master. Being an old school hand myself at the State Teachers College of Kearney, Nebraska, and having had show i experience with Ringlings in addition to many years of i rodeo, I ought to be able to stage and direct an event j which could become a great annual and draw thousands i of dollars through the gates. I would like to know as to whether or not you and the staff there at Lawrence would consider such a spectacle for your stadium, starting this summer. I realize that it would tear up the turf somewhat but you have the seating capable of making a $25,000.00 on such an : event as soon as it would get up a little annual : momentum. May I have a letter from you on this matter. I still reside in North Platte, Nebraska but I am here in Seminole on my third annual appearance handling the : coming Seminole Roundup. q tea rs very sincerely 1889 - SEMINOLE - 1939 \ 1 IPT) NIL p RO U RBS U ° ’ 16-17-18 _ SCOWBoys-cow a a a a aa I he i sk el
