Horsce Santry of the National Youth Administra~
‘tion here in Salina tells me that he talked to
vou last week in regard to the possibility of

my attending the University of Kansas next yeare

I will have to work for part of my expenses in
order to go to school, and I have hesitated
_ about attending K.U. next year because ef this.
If at all possible, however, I want to go there
to school because I feel it-would mean much
more to me to attend the state university end
because IT am anxious to try to make the besket-

I have vleved reguilerly on the Salina High
School basketbel1l team here for the last two
years, am seventeen years old and over six
feet two inches in heighte It has been my _
ambition to play besketbell some cay at KeUes
and I em writing this letter to ask your ad-
wice as to the advisability of my enrolling

next fall.

the opvortunities for some kind of part-time
