2208 Ee Tony, KO August 18, 1939 Dear Doc; Its about time for you to be leaving for Georgia, Isn*t it? If they give you one good boy on that team it will be too bad for the opp-= osition. I want to thank fou for your nice letter and certainly appreciate your interest in me at this time, Doc you really have some hearty supporters and friends in this town and I am constantly running into them. Maurice Brieidenthal is one of them, I got to know him while working for the Endowment Assn. and he is going to send me down to see Mir. Jeff Mitchell this morning at Phillips Pet. Co, I stopped in to register at an employment agency the “other day and talked to two of your friends, a Mr, Kranmer and Mr, Hutton, Both of these fellows attended the university and are now conkected with the Kansas Employment Service. Last Sunday I visited Ralph Miller who is expecting to get out of the hospital today and a Mr, White dropped in to visit with him, We had quite a chat about you it seems that he coached at Lawrence when Mit was playing basketball there. You were duiviin that Cadillac then... you know sag the car that the people in Lawrence said tak Yeast bought. Doc It looks as if my chances of getting into this personnel work ‘is limited unless I secure more training in the field. I am hoping to land a job, any kind of work considered, and pay off my obligations and then save some money. If I feel the same way about personnel work then I will go back to Northwestern, the best school for this field, and make a more extensive study in it. I want to thank you for your already for your advise and cooperation, Some day I would like to be in @ small way the success you have been in a big way. ‘Tell Mrs. 4ulteen hello and good luck on that coaching school trip. oo ie | Se Sa
