Dear Mr. Allens 2

I was very much interested in receiving your letter the

other day regarding a prospective coach for South Dakota ”
State College, by the name of Elmer Schaake. We would 4
appreciate it very much if you would have Schaake apply 4
for the position if you think he would be interested in it,

and I should like to know a little bit more about him-—- a
his age, when he got through school, his coaching experience 2
since graduation and anything else about him that might be ’
useful in making our choice for a new coach. 4

 

The position open is, of course, for football but we could
use his basketball talents along some other lines ,perhaps.
If he is anything like two other coaches from the Univer-
sity of Kansas whom I have known, namely, John Bunn and 4
Bruce Hamilton, I am sure that we will give him due con- a
sideration.
