Missouri Valley foes on the Iowa State College basketball schedule,
cones to State Gymnasium Monday night for another game in the historic
intra-state rivalry. Game time is 7:15 p.m.

As in years past, the Pioneers.and Cyclones are rated aid
even in pre-game reckonings. Iowa State, playing its finest ball of
the pre-conference season last winter, nipped Grinnell 28-26.

The promising Pioneer five opened its season impressively
Friday night by whippins Coe 38-28. The Gyoionan, Bie85 victor over
Cornell in their curtain raiser, have shown remarkable improvement
in squid strength this sexson.

Three seasoned junior lettermen and a pair of first year
men are Coach Louis Menze's starting choices for Iowa State. Bill
Bliss and Bob Menze, veterans, will be at guard; sophomore Hd Jonocs,
at center; Don Beresford, letterman, and Fred Gordon, inexpcricnced
junior, at forwards.

Coach John Truesdale of the Pioneers will also start thrce
lettermen. His ace forward, Fred Luther, is out of the game with
injuries so Grinnell will have a.pair of sophomores in the front court
with lanky “ilbur Luick, veteran center.
