The Lawrence Kiwanis Club, teking note of the first breath of
Spring and the approach of the Victory Gardening season, and
desirous of exploiting the possibilities inherent in both,
hereby challenges the Lawrence Rotary Club to a test of gardening
prowess during the season of 1944, the contestants to be the

members of the aforementioned clubs, under such rules and regulations
as may be mutually agreed upon for measuring, weighing and otherwise
evaluating the products of the Victory Gardens produced by the toil

and sweat of the members aforesaid.
