Dear Dr. Allen:

Your letter of August 4th, in regard to the University of
Kansas meeting Rice Institute during the latter part of December,
has been received and the matter discussed with Buster Brannon
our new Basketball Coach.

Buster feels that inasmuch as he is new here he should have
more time to work with our boys before playing against a team as
high in competition as the University of Kansas.

Thank you very much for considering us and I hope that at
some later date we may have the opportunity of meeting.
