Lawrence, Kansas September 13, 1943 Dr. Forrest C. Allen, President Lawrence Rotary Club Lawrence, Kansas Dear President Phog: You will find submitted herewith a proposed budget for the Lawrence Rotary Club for the coming fiscal year. Most of the credit in the present preparation in this budget is due to the valued suggestions of Treasurer Clif Calvin. At best, like all budgets, it can be used only as a guide in club expenditures. Your committee, however, feels that if it is used in this regard it will be of consider- able help in keeping the Lawrence club on a sound fiscal basis. You will note that the budget is based on a membership of 55 members. Present indications are that the membership will exceed this number which should give some measure of leeway in the budget. You will note that $100.00 was budgeted in the Milk Fund, Nothing was spent from this fund last year because no money was requested from the city schools. But $100.00 was donated from the fund to the Douglas County chapter of the American Red Cross. Your committee felt it wise to retain a semblance of this fund until otherwise directed by the board. Respectfully submitted, Za He Meade, Chairman Walter J. Keeler
