Dear Doc:

I have your letter relative putting some of
the younger officials on our deferred basketball list
and using these same officials as much as possible in
non-conference games. 1 am more or less following that
plan myself this next year, using a young official in
one of our games whom + just happened to see work last
winter. When the official Big Six assignments are sent
out to the coaches 1 will ask Veenk to include a notation
asking the coaches to keep their eyes open for any good
young officials whom they happen to see work.
