W. W. Davis succeeded in putting me off during the entire
year, but I hope your persuasive powers will bear more
fruit,

Dolph Simons gave me many good suggestions during the year
and is about due to keep his promise to make a talk himself,
He also promised to get us an outstanding newspaper man

if we would give him adequate notice.
