Dear Mre Allens:

I have been away from home and for that reason the
answer to your letter of July 21st has been delayed.

Mr. Galvin did endeavor to find a day when I might
come to Lawrence last spring to attend the Rotary meeting.
We did agree on one day but there was a district conference
of some kind which prevented having a meeting at that time.

I can come to Lawrence on Monday, October 15th
or upon October 20th, just as you prefer. If you will let
me know about this I will arrange to be there.
