Mis Horkmans, but on 11-15-27

it appeared that Hugh 0. Douglas
was in need of funds immediately and

he could not procure a letter at that time

from anyone recommending him, and lr. Horkmans
agreed to stand sponsor on the note if Douglas
could not produce a letter from someone connected
with the Athletic association recommending him for

the loan.

Later on Mr, Karl Klooz recommended him

for the loan, and stated that he was doing satisfactory
work, and I take it that Lr. Horkmans is not in any way

obligated to pay the note).
