Dear Jack,

I have just received a letter from Warden Amcrine in which
he says, “In connection with the talk next Monday, if you

can conveniently arrange it, I would like to have a a senate

desk for my notes. I do not use them much, but some
wish to refer to them. An ordinary band music rack will do
if no reading desk is convenient for the speakers’ table. .
