November 5s 1941 Warden M. FP. Amerine Kansas State Penitentury lensing, Kensas Dear Warden Amerine, Will you be kind enough to write me and give me the subjeot of your address before our Rotary Club here in Lewrencé on November 17? | soe Prof. George B. Smith, dean of the School of Education, will speak on November 10. I believe you and he discussed some possibility of his collaborating with you on some educational subject connected with the teaching and training of inmates of the penitentury. I think he has done some work on this matter. Sinee he is speaking this week I believe it would be : better if you'll take the ball and carry it all by yourself. Your long experience with and your axple opportunity to make observations of these unfortunates will be interesting indeed, I am sure. We'd like to have your subject so that we can print 4+ in the Rotary bulletin ahead of your speaking day. With kindest personal regards I am : Rotarily yours, 7 Chairman Program Committee FcA/pg Lawrence Rotary Club
