MASON, Director (SES “For Immediate Release LAWRENCE, ean, Jan. --Four road games in eight days lie ahead for the University of Kansas Jayhawks, current leaders in the Big Six basketball race, Iowa University of the Big Ten is the first stop on the trip, the Jayhawks clashing with the Hawkeyes Thursday night. Iowa's record this year includes a victory over Wisconsin, the 1941 national colleg- jate champion. Michigan and Chicago also have bowed to the Hawkeyes. Extremes in height are found in Iowa's first five. Center Milt Kuhl stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and Co-captain Rudy Soderquist is 6 feet 34, while the other co-captain, Vic Siegel, measures only 5 feet 10 and Ben Trickey, junior forward, is 5 feet 9. Saturday night the Jayhawks will be in Chicago to meet DePaul in the Chicago Stadium as part of a doublehgader, The other game puts Loyola against Bradley Tech's fine team. A victory over Long Island U. was recorded by DePaul in its last previous start. The Blue Demons' have a tall center in Frank Wiscons, 6 foot 5 inch junior, who may give Kansas plenty of trouble, The game will mark the first athletic competition between the Jayhawks and DePaul. Two previous games in Chicago have found Kansas playing Loyola on each occasion. Two days after the Chicago game, the Jayhawks will be back in Kansas to play Wichita University at Wichita, Feb. 2. The Wheat- shockers have played in hard luck this season, but can be counted on to be keyed to a high pitch for the clash with K.U. The big game of the non-conference schedule takes Dr. #, fs Allen's cagers to Kansas City, Feb. 5 to meet the Great Lakes Naval Training Station team. The Navy quintet won its 16th game in 18 starts Saturday night, defeating Nebraska. Johnny Adams, All-American forward at Arkansas last year, made his debut with the Sailors in handsome fashion.
