Lettered in track at the University of Kansas in 1933, 1934 and 1935. Wasm a letterman in football, playing guard, in 1932, 1933 and 1934. Big Six shot put champion for three straight years. National Collegiate shot put champ- ion his senior year. Captain of the 1935 Kansas track team. Trainer at the University of Kansas from 193 to 1938. Trainer at Oklahoma A. & M. in 1939 and then went to Pitt at the start of the present school year/as head trainer. ROLAND LOGAN- Played guard on the University of Kansas football team, lettering in 1927, 1928 and 1929. Was All-Big Six guard his er year. Trainer and assistant coach at the University in 1931 and 1932. (Later with G.W.U., Boston Red Sox and Pitt. Now West Point. ) JAMES COXK- lettered in track at the University of Kansas in 1932. Was a hurdler of great promise, although he was not very big. Suffered severe muscle injuries to one leg, however, and was never able to get out from under that injury. Coached the Jayhawk wrestling team in 1935 and 1936. Trainer at the University from 193 to 193%. Went to Harvard as head trainer from here. DEAN NESMITH- Lettered in football at the University of Kansas in 1933;-1934 and. 1935; playing taekie: In -his first cotiege footbaiz- —.— game, tackle Nesmith caught a kickoff during the second half on his 20 yard line and ran it back 80 yards for a touchdown against Warrensburg, Mo.
