This was quite a week in our household as Cobby got i
his first athletic letter, and a big green "H" from dear old 3
Harding Junior High for the badminton championship. He
went into the state tournament pretty cocky and tied into some
6'3" bira from Shawnee inthe first round and this Pottawatomie
kid blasted him off the court. He fared a little better in
doubles, but he found out that a few other people had some —
nifty court tricks. He was rather philosophical about it in
that he said, “Well, they even beat Bobby Allen once in awhile.”

We are particularly provd to learn about Bobby's
election to Phi Beta Kappa and share with you in the pride
of his great college athletic career. Above all, I think
he is.a fine Christian gentlemen and I think that is about all
I say about your boy, or anybody else's boy for that
matter. Kindly give him a thump for me and extend my kindest
personal regards to li-g, Allen.

I hope it is my pleasure to clasp your good right hand
in June.
