Dear Dwight:

it waa a great pleasure to meet with you and to enter
inte the pleasure of the father and son banquet which was
held at your high school Wedmesday night. You made a fine
talke I heard so many wonderful things about you that I
want you to keep in touch with us while you are in the ser-
vies, and later I hope it will be possible for you to enter
the University of Kansas. I would be delighted to have sueh
an individual on my varsity squad.

I am sending you a copy of our Jayhawk Rebounds ~ a letter
that I write approximately each month to the boys in the ser~
vice. I know that you will be interested in reading about
some of the activities of these valorous Kansas boys on the
seven seas and the muy fronts in this world war. I am putting
you on the mailing list, ~ hoe te ee get
