Dear Nate:

I am wondering if he expects any special inducements.
We are not in position to offer those, having built our team
from boys whe normally enroll et the University for the purpose
of getting an education. Of course, we could give him a job
that would pay 56” an hour, and he could work two hours a day
at that rate. That is the most any students get - 35¢ an hour.

Will you kindly see him and talk with him and sell
of the University as a place to cet an education,
rather then as a place comerned primarily with athletics.

do our very best to see that he gets a woll-rouded
education if he comes to the University of Kansas.
