Dear Dr. Allen:

Your recent kind letters, addressed to Bob
Powell and unanswered by him, prompts me to write
you in this manner. His neglect in replying, has

een due to lack of time, rather than disinterest.

In chatting with Ernie Vanek last week, he
mentioned that you were wondering if Bob intended
going to the University this fall.

Bob is hesitant about trying to attend school
this fall, but it is both our mother's and my desire
that he attend the University this fall.

If your week-ends are not full of other duties
and you would care to have a short chat with Bob
and I, we would be very happy, to drive down, I
specify week-ends, due to the fact Bob and I both
work in the daytime, but if some evening in the
week would be more convenient to you, let us know.

Thanking you for your interest in the thing
that is of the most interest to me, Bob's future,
