HH. R. FULK . CLERK CLAUDE F. HOUGH, Jr. DIRECTOR MULVANE PUBLIC SCHOOLS MACE V. BEASON, SUPERINTENDENT MULVANE, KANSAS March 19. 1941 Mr. "Phog" Allen | Kansas University Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: I should like to call your atiention to a Mulvane, Kansas high school senior, Keith Oliver, who is a splendid student and an outstanding high school bas— ketball player. | Keith is 5' 11" high, weighs between 175 and 180 lbs., is 18 years old, has an I.Q. of 116 and scholastically ranks in the upper 5% of his class of 30 members. He has played basketball in high school for 4 years. Dur- ing this time he has participated in 94 games, and has accumulated a total of 1014 points in contest play. This present year he has made 353 points in 27 games. The competition has been keen throughout the year. Be- sides pleying teams from small schools the size of our own, we have played Wichita High School East and Auguste. We lost to East High by a few points in the season's opener; won one and lost one to Augusta. I believe Keith's ball handling is outstanding for a high school boy. This boy is simply an A number 1 chap in every respect. If he attends college he is going to have to earn at least part of his expenses. I thought you might be interested in him. Sincerely yours, M. V. Beason MVB:dp Superintendent S. F, KIMBLE TREASURER
