Allen Varsity Basketball Coach University Of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear"Doc": Congraulations: we think you have had another very successful season. I think 0. U. was pretty darn lucky to scratch out on your ball club. I have talked with Paul Walker several times since I received your letter. He seems to be pretty en- thused about the opportunity you have offered him, He is very undecided as to where he would like to go to school. I think this visit to K. U. will help matters a lot. Just the other day I found that another boy I had on my team last year is planning to go to K. U. next year. His name is Albert Carson, is 6' 1", and weighs around 170. He was one of my regular guards the last part of last year. I think he has a lot of possibilities, and one of the finest attitudes of any player I've ever coached. This year, Albert has been taking Post Graduate work at the high school. I have had him helping me with my "B" Squad most of the season. He also works part time at one of the Airplane Factories and is saving his money for next year. I would be glad to fix things up for him at the A.eT.O. house if you should care to invite him up with Paul Walker. I'm sure he would be glad of the opportunity. His address is 220 North Edwards. I wonder if Gordie is working on Nebergall of Newton. There's a darn good ball player. = od 6,
