FF. RANSOM BENRETT OTTAWA, KANSAS March 24, 1941 Dr. Forrest CGC. Allen Department of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: I am very happy to have the opportunity of coming to Lawrence April 19th, the day of the Relays, and also in getting a chance to shoot a few shots with your Varsity and Fresh- men squads. It so happens that I had already been in- vited uo by the Sigma Chi's to spend that week- end. Two or three of the Sigma Chi's are on your Freshmen squad and I am sure, if they live un to the wonderful hospitality they have show- ed m- on my previous visits with them, they will make it possible for me to accept your invita- tione I suppose you saw Washington State's ex- hibition of sharp shooting last Saturday night in Kansas Citv. If they do that well this Sat- urday they will make it pretty tough on the Badgers from Wisconsin. I don't know whether you remember our meet- ing following the Oklahoma game or not, but I was very much impressed in talking with you and will be looking forward with great interest to the morning of the Relays. Yours very truly, : Gowen, a qr. Ransom Bennett, Jre jo:B
