Allen, Basketball ~~ Coach Ray Kanehl, Track Coach Elmer Schaake, Baseball To the Coach Addressed: a At the meeting of the Faculty Represen- tatives of the Big Six Conference held at Lincoln, Ma 19, 1944, the following eligibility requirements for participation in intercollegiate athletics for the duration of the war or until permission is withdrawn by conference action shall be as follows: (as applied to undergraduates) : me 1. That he is a regular bona fide matriculant. Re _— he is enrolled regularly in 12 semester or term 3. That in order to participate during the second semes- : ter or term he shall have completed 12 semester or term hours the previous semester or quarter. 4, That in order to participate during a third or other subsequent term or semester he shall have completed 24 semester or term hours in the two preceding 7 semesters or quarters. 5. That no athlete shall be awarded a letter except after he shall have completed 12 hours in the semester or quarter in which he participated. 6. That all prior rules and regulations in conflict with this regulation are hereby to be repealed. , fhe above requirements were amended by the addition of the following provisions: 1. Due to the difference in interpretation of present eligibility requirements, conference members will be given one semester or term following the opening of the 1944-45 sehool year in whieh to conform to the rules of the original motion. , 2. That all.new students must conform to these rules immediately. ,
