Sometimes it takes all of that to pay the utilities. Furnace, gas $25.00 to $80.00 We keep the heat on until 11 and 11.30 so the student will have no excuse for not studying. Electric light, water and the two newspapers if they wish to read them. We have Ed's tuition, books, clothes, etc. Have to borrow some for that, but it is all paid backnow, but a note for $100.00 Dad was here for one year before he got any work When it came time for Edward to enter K U we borrowed on his insurance policy $50.00 and $50.00 to pay our bills.
