Dear Mr. Allen:

If you will recall that I made a trip to
Lawrence with a boy by the name of Lawrence Johnson who
is very much interested in K. U. I have just returned
from my summer vacation and find that the boy is considering
Kansas State at Emporia. I talked to the boy Saturday and
he still like K.U. but did not make the dollars this summer
that he feels necessary to take him to K.U. I told Lawrence
that I would write you that you might know of some student loan
in which the boy might get a loan. (I believe that around $100

dollars is what the boy would need) |
Mrs. Johnson told me that if they could borrow

the money that they would have Lawrence take out an Insurance

policy.
