March 12, 1946 Mre Ee Ce Quigley- Dear Ernie: : Dorman O'Leary, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Auditorium, just called me and he is terribly disturbed about your taking 4500 tickets mat of the auditorium's stack. He claims that this will put the management of the Municipal Auditorium in a most embarrassing position. There are two situations that embarrassed them no end and that was the play “Oklahoma” and the Bob Hope show. Dorman said that he is going to be out of his office all day but that : the Board of Directors have a meeting at the Munidipal Auditorium — at 4:00 P.M. and he wants you to call him there at that time without fail. He feels that since they made us 4 present, so to speak, of the normal rental fee, that we should have consideration for the Kansas City public. I am just passing on to you what he had definitely on his mind when he tried to call you and, not getting you, called ME e ‘Sincerely, ) Director of Physical Education, Varsity Basketball Coach, 6
