Mrs Be Ce Quigley, Director of Athletics, University of Kansas. ~~ Dear Ernie: We went over to the Auditorium yesterday afternoon to practice at 4:50 as per our schedule. At 4:45 a young lady appeared, sat dow at the organ and blested away until 5:50. It was impossible for me to coach. My veice could not be heard, and the practice was naturally definitely interfered with in such a way that we did not get out of our practice what we desired. I am very sure if we would encroach upon their time we would hear from it, very definitely. I am wondering if you will be kind enough to take it up with Mr. Nichola te see that our hours are respected the same as they desire theirs respected. This interference has happened before. They are stud- ents who come for practice, but someone should instruct them not to do that. They may have been instructed otherwise. Who knows? They think anything can go when we get over there. You oan tell from the tane of this letter that I don't like itt s Sincerely yours, \ } | Director of Physical Eduoation, POA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach. P.S. Again today, Thursday, as soon as we started to practice, a young man came in and took over the organ. I spoke to him and told him it was our time in there, and he said he missed his hour at con- - vocation time and wanted to make it up. I think something should come from the head of that department, telling them not to encpoach upon our time. eee.
