Allen Department of Physical Hducation University of Kanses Lawrence, Kensas Dear Sir: Received you letisr of the 3lst today and I appreciate.hearing from you, In regard to my academic work, I am sure that I understand the situation fully and value it as such, I am sure you will find my scholastic record satisfactory. I have saved about 150 dollars from my work this summer to start school on. I believe that would be sufficient to take care of tuition, books, and other expenses which might arise at K.U. I will need help on board and room. As far as qualificatbon for any kind. of work T haven't particularly hed any. The last two years I have worked for the commercial teacher of the local Junior College here, doing most of it on N.Y.A. I helped grade Accounting, Marketing, Geology, and Typing papers ete I also have done some Gym work, I have substituted for Coach ¥, &. Upson of the high school here when he was called away on athletic trips and for ether reasons. Otherwise I don't know just what I am capable of doing as yet I have not had the opportunity.
